What should I do if I have a dietary requirement?

Please let us know when you RSVP - there is a field where you can provide details of any food restrictions. We will then pass this information onto our caterer.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel like your best self on our wedding day - please wear something smart that makes you feel confident and that won't restrict you from dancing with us all night long!
Most importantly, please ensure you are wearing sturdy, comfortable shoes - this is a predominantly-outdoor wedding on a rural site and unpredictable Cornish weather can play a factor here, so enclosed shoes may be preferable to six-inch tall, open-toed stilettos! (FYI, there's also an uphill walk from the wedding ceremony to the reception area and not all the pathways are level, so choose wisely! We'd hate to see any twisted ankles!)

I’m staying on-site the night before the wedding - where can I get ready?

All campsite pitches and pre-erected Tipis have a nearby toilet and shower block, so fear not! You can have a nice hot shower on the morning of the wedding. We’ll also be setting up a temporary ‘get ready area’ in the huge reception tent which will have access to electricity, as well as natural lighting for doing make up and hair!

How do I get to and from the venue?

This largely depends on where you are staying, but we'd recommend pre-booking a taxi service well in advance if you're staying off-site. You can find a list of taxi services on the 'Travel' page of this site. Note that Carriages are at 12am.

How do we get from the ceremony to the reception?

The wedding ceremony and reception will take place on the same site. There is a 5-10 minute walk (the majority of which is uphill) from the wedding pavilion to the party area - please let us know if you have any mobility issues and we can ensure staff are there to accommodate your needs.

Can I bring a date or a +1?

Sorry, but we have a limited headcount so it’s a ‘no’ unless we have specifically invited them.

Okay, but what about my child or pet?

We are having a child-free wedding and the wedding venue does not allow pets.

I’m planning to drive to the venue, where do I park?

There is plenty of parking on-site at the venue.

If you’re driving in a campervan, motorhome or similar, you can book a pitch using the Cornish Tipis website. Please note beforehand that there is no hard standing, no electrical hook-ups, no solid or liquid waste disposal & no water lines for re-filling water tanks. All park ups are on meadow grass.

Is it okay to take photos during the wedding?

Please feel free to take lots of photos and videos at the reception, we would love to see the party from your perspective!!

However, we request that you please do not take any photos or videos during the actual ceremony. We will have a professional photographer and videographer present, and we’d hate for your face to be covered by a phone (or, god forbid, an iPad).

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

A bit of both! The ceremony will be in a woodland clearing, completely outdoors. There are arrangements on-site for unpredictable weather conditions. The reception is in a covered safari tent, with outdoor space for lawn games, firepits and chill-out zones.

Why should we arrive half an hour before the ceremony?

The ceremony area is a walk away from the car park, so give yourself plenty of time to get down there before it kicks off! There’ll be plenty of staff on site to help you find your way, or if you have any mobility issues we can ensure staff are there to accommodate.
